Star Cactus (Bare Rooted)

The Star Cactus is a rare and valuable cactus that is indigenous to northern Mexico. This plant is scientifically known as Astrophytum asterias. It is well known for its simple characteristics and eye-catching star-shaped look. It usually grows to a diameter of around 6 inches (15 cm). The Star Cactus has prominent ribs that mimic a star pattern and develop in a spherical shape. It lacks or has few spines compared to many other cacti; instead, it is covered in white wool tufts that give it a tactile, soft appearance.

The Star Cactus needs plenty of indirect, bright sunlight to grow best. The Star Cactus can also tolerate some direct sunlight, but too much direct exposure can damage its leaves. So, it needs protection from the strong noon sun. To avoid root rot, water sparingly and let the soil dry fully in between water applications. Maintain at or above 50°F (10°C), keeping frost at bay. Choose a succulent mixture or cactus that drains properly. In the spring and summer, give your plants a mild fertiliser treatment using a diluted cactus fertiliser.

The Star Cactus is good for novices and people with small gardens because of its compact growth and low maintenance needs. It is a perfect addition to both indoor and outdoor succulent gardens because of its beautiful appearance and low maintenance requirements. Choose the Star Cactus to give an elegant look to your place. Order this beautiful plant from Secculent now. Secculent is a trusted plant-selling website.
