Silver Torch Cactus (Bare Rooted)

Cleistocactus Strausii is a striking species of cactus that is indigenous to high-altitude areas of Bolivia and Argentina. This beautiful plant is also known as the Silver Torch Cactus. Its remarkable look, which includes tall, columnar stems covered with dense white hairs that give it a frosted or silvery-grey appearance, is what makes it so well-known. In its natural habitat, the Silver Torch Cactus can grow up to 6 feet tall, with a columnar growth habit; however, in cultivation, it usually stays smaller. Cleistocactus strausii's characteristic silvery sheen is caused by the white, hair-like spines that are heavily covered on the stems. The cactus appears nearly fuzzy because the spines are soft to the touch.

The Silver Torch Cactus needs bright, indirect sunlight to grow. Although it can withstand some direct sunlight, particularly in the morning or late afternoon, keep it out of the harsh daytime heat to avoid being sunburned. Use water sparingly, letting the soil dry out entirely in between water applications. The Silver Torch Cactus is sensitive to cold and likes warm weather. It needs to be kept out of the cold and at least 50°F. 

The Silver Torch Cactus is a gorgeous, low-maintenance type of cactus that is prized for its vibrant flowers and tall, silvery columns. It can flourish both indoors and outdoors with the right care, bringing style and intrigue to any living area or garden. Cleistocactus Strausii is sold as bare-rooted, which means the soil around its roots will be absent.

You may return most new, unopened items within 30 days of delivery for a full refund. We'll also pay the return shipping costs if the return is a result of our error (you received an incorrect or defective item, etc.).

You should expect to receive your refund within four weeks of giving your package to the return shipper, however, in many cases you will receive a refund more quickly. This time period includes the transit time for us to receive your return from the shipper (5 to 10 business days), the time it takes us to process your return once we receive it (3 to 5 business days), and the time it takes your bank to process our refund request (5 to 10 business days).

If you need to return an item, simply login to your account, view the order using the "Complete Orders" link under the My Account menu and click the Return Item(s) button. We'll notify you via e-mail of your refund once we've received and processed the returned item.

We can ship to virtually any address in the world. Note that there are restrictions on some products, and some products cannot be shipped to international destinations.
