Opuntia microdasys 'Bunny Ear Cactus' - White Dot (Bare Rooted)

Opuntia Microdasys 'Bunny Ear Cactus' is a cactus cultivar prized for its easy maintenance and unique appearance. This one is a White Dot variant of the Bunny Ear Cactus. This Mexican native cactus is distinguished by its flattened, pad-like stems studded with tiny, hair-like spines called glochids that can irritate skin when touched. The 'Bunny Ear Cactus' type gets its name from how its stems resemble rabbit ears. Each pad has the shape of an oval or teardrop that has been flattened. The White Dot cultivar is distinguished primarily by its white glochids, which create an eye-catching visual contrast with the green stems.

Like any other Opuntia Microdasys, the 'Bunny Ear Cactus' White Dot grows best in soil that drains well. This cacti is also sold as bare-rooted, which means it is provided without soil around its roots, making it easier to transport and handle while reducing the risk of soil-borne diseases. Planting bare-rooted cacti promptly is essential to ensure successful establishment in their new environment. Once established, Bunny Ear Cactus' White Dot tolerates drought well and needs little watering.

When Bunny Ear Cactus gets the right care, it will flourish and produce new pads adorned with its characteristic white glochids, adding beauty to any landscape or garden. Order your first Bunny Ear Cactus—White Dot from Secculent now to enhance the look of your place.
